As they began to chant, silence filled our shop as we welcomed the presence of our ancestors from New Zealand. Thank you Harawira and your family for blessing our shop and everyone that was here that evening. Thank you for the great mana and for connecting us back to our ancestors from New Zealand. Mahalo to our brothers from Hannya Tattoo for visiting us all the way from Beligum. We hope that one day we will visit your country. And all the way from Scotland, we thank you both for blessing our shop with your great energy and friendship. Mahalo Nui to Karl and his family from Tahiti. Thank you Jim Morris for your friendship. Thanks to Angela from Germany for the visit. Only a week old, our precious Amira Sulu'ape came to visit her family here at Soul Signature. Thank you for coming by to bless our shop.
It was only 10:00 a.m and we had a long line of walk-in customers ages 1 to 16 years of age. :) Children have an amazing imagination and its always fun to watch them challenge their artists. "Uncle, I want power rangers flying off a cliff or Uncle, I want hello kitty dancing...eheheheh!!!" We love children and we thank the coordinators of this carnival for inviting us to come out and draw on these children.
Over thousands of people strolled through Waikiki to watch live Polynesian dancing, listening to live music and many stopped by the Academy of Arts booth to buy custom painted fans done by many artists that came out to volunteer their time. Suluape Aisea and Bong from Tattoos by Bong came out to donate their time by supporting our friends and families from the Honolulu Academy of Arts Museum. That night was flocked with great people, positive energy, good vibes, inspiring art life and many more.... Thanks again to Vince Hazen from the Honolulu Academy of Arts for the invitation.
Tufunga Su'a Sulu'ape Petelo and Su'a Sulu'ape Peter recently blessed these three individuals with their malofie. Congratulations and God bless your tatau!!
