Since opened 2001. Back and forth California Style Traditional Japanese is my favorite tattoo style Who are you? What is your background? I grew up in San Jose to an immigrant mother and father. My father is from the Philippines and my mother from Germany. I've been making tattoos since 2002. I've absorbed myself in art since I can remember. Painting dragons a kid and drawing cartoons, crosses, old English letters. How did you get into tattooing? Tattooing laid its claws in met at first glance. As a youth seeing neighborhood bad boys sporting old English letters and dragons perked my interest immediately. I grew up in heavy gang culture, '85-'95 were prominent years of influence for me and I had me "tattooing" my friends ind my dad's garage with pens, pretending to have our own cliques. |
What interests you the most in tattooing?
Performance. Its that jump. Are you in or out? I like that. How do you keep yourself inspired? Staying inspired has always been 2nd to being productive, you can say staying productive keeps me inspired. "You better work bitch!" Do you have any specific hobbies besides work/tattooing? Over the years I find myself collecting small arts. I like finding little treasures, hand crafts, figurines, knick knacks from casual shopping, 2nd hand stores. Online finds, travels, things of that sort. |
